Meet Your Trainer
Hi, I’m A.G. Billig, a self-publishing expert, book coach, and published author whose own books explore love and human transformation.
That last part matters. I don’t teach platform strategy from the outside. As a published fiction author myself, I understand from the inside what it means to put your creative work into the world and want it to find the readers it was written for. The Author Platform Bootcamp was designed from that understanding.
My background in PR, journalism, and marketing — including work with internationally recognized brands — gives me a practical, strategic perspective on what actually works to attract readers. My work with hundreds of fiction and non-fiction authors across the U.S. and Europe gives me the ability to translate that strategy into language and approaches that feel natural for creative writers, not corporate marketers.
I founded Self-Publishing Mastery, named Best Education Center by Santa Ana, CA three consecutive years, and inducted into the Business Hall of Fame. When you work with Self-Publishing Mastery, you work with me personally.
The 7-Week Curriculum:
Each week builds on the last. By the end of Week 7 you will have the clarity, knowledge, and confidence to grow your author platform, and a practical roadmap to follow long after the program ends.
Week 1 — Foundation & Author Identity
Before strategy comes identity. You’ll learn how to define your author voice, identify your ideal reader in specific and useful detail, and understand the unique space your stories occupy in the market. This foundation shapes every platform decision that follows. Includes a live welcome call and the foundational module on author identity for fiction writers specifically.
Weeks 2–3 — Your Author World Deep Dive
You’ll learn the core elements of a compelling author presence: how to craft your author story (the authentic narrative that connects you to readers), develop your messaging, and define your visual identity. You’ll understand exactly what your author website and social media profiles need to communicate and why, so that when you build them, every element reflects who you are and speaks directly to your readers.
Weeks 4–7 — Strategy, Application & Long-Term Growth
The final four weeks are where the learning becomes action. You’ll develop a genre-specific social media strategy, learn how to grow and nurture an email list, create a book launch framework you can reuse for every future book, and design a content approach that works for your life as a writer. Weekly group coaching calls give you personalized feedback on your real work. You leave with the skills, frameworks, and confidence to build and grow your platform at your own pace and keep going long after the program ends.

When do I get access to the program?
As soon as your payment is processed you will receive the Zoom link and an invitation to our private fiction author community.
What if I miss a live session?
The live sessions are where the real coaching happens and we strongly recommend attending. Every session is recorded and sent to you so you never fall behind.
How much time do I need each week?
Plan for 90 minutes for the live session plus approximately 60 minutes for your weekly assignment. Every assignment applies directly to your real author career — you are learning by doing, not completing abstract exercises.
Will I get personal feedback on my work?
Yes. The group is capped at twelve participants so A.G. can give each author genuine, specific feedback. Tier 2 and Tier 3 clients also receive private 1:1 sessions for deeper individual guidance.
What happens after the 7 weeks?
You keep access to all your recordings and materials. You also retain access to the SPM private author community. Tier 3 clients receive two additional months of bi-weekly Q&A group calls.
Do you offer additional services beyond the bootcamp?
Yes. As a bootcamp participant you receive 10% off any additional SPM services including book marketing, publishing support, and 1:1 coaching. If you need hands-on help with your author bio, media kit, or book launch after the program, A.G. is available.
