Thriller Fest XVII takes place May 31 to June 4, 2022 and includes a blockbuster line-up, featuring 2022 ThrillerMasters Frederick Forsyth and Diana Gabaldon, 2022 Spotlight Guest Alafair Burke, 2022 Spotlight Guest Joseph Finder, and 2022 Spotlight Guest Veronica Roth.
The event is also celebrating the 2022 Thriller Legend, Writers House, and 2022 ThrillerFans Theresa Lee and Rosie Stroy. It includes Master Classes, CraftFest, PitchFest, ConsultFest, ThrillerFest, and more.
Master Class is an intensive day of study held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, and it requires additional registration. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to work in small groups under the tutelage of New York Times bestselling authors. The instructors for 2022 are: J.D. Barker, Robert Dugoni, Mark Greaney, Steven James, Tosca Lee, Donald Maass, Clare Mackintosh, and Hank Phillippi Ryan. Whether you are a new writer or an experienced one, the event organizers promise a class that will elevate your writing to the next level.
Running all day Wednesday and Thursday morning, CraftFest is the fastest growing section of the conference, an ideal place to hone your writing skills. Everyone is welcome, from aspiring authors to established authors, and you’ll be privy to writing secrets from New York Times bestsellers and other professionals. In addition to craft classes, CraftFest includes a line-up of information about firearms, explosives, forensics, pathology, and other information that will help you write realistic scenes. PitchFest happens onThursday afternoon following CraftFest and Practice PitchFest. This is an event where you can pitch your novel to some of the best agents and acquiring editors in the business. Each year, over 60 agents and editors attend this special event with movie producers joining from time to time. Read about the incredible tales of success here. PitchFest has become the world’s largest gathering of top agents and acquiring editors looking for the next bestseller. More specifically, it is a three-and-a-half-hour opportunity for writers to pitch their manuscripts to as many agents as they have the time and energy to meet.
ThrillerFest proper, the final two days of the conference, provides readers with an opportunity to network with authors—everyone from debuts to bestsellers. Expect innovative panels, spotlight interviews, and workshops to educate and inspire.
